The high-density silk taffeta woven in Yonezawa, Yamagata Prefecture, is also known as "paper taffeta" because it can be shaped like paper. The silk taffeta, woven using the "yarn-dyed" technique where the threads are dyed before weaving, changes color depending on the angle you view it from and emits a beautiful sheen characteristic of silk. We cut 5 meters of fabric on the bias and added tuck pleats. When gathered, the tuck pleats create a wavy, elegant look. It weighs only 60 grams. When folded, it becomes compact enough to slip into a pocket or bag. After work, you can easily take it out from your bag and quickly dress up by tying the ribbon. It's a versatile design that's useful in many situations.
